After a first collaboration in 1974, André François – whose real name is André Farkas – and I worked together between 1987 and 2005, the year of his disappearance. Of Hungarian origin, this multiform French artist is unclassifiable. Touching upon many artistic medium, painting, sculpture, illustration, press, poster, prints, he kept most of his works in his studio and gave the rights of reproduction to his customers. A very large part of his work was destroyed in a fire in 2002. I made many of these works with him and sometimes co-edited prints, Fine Art posters, posters, cards and even a book entirely screen printed. He is one of the four artists with whom I worked the most.
